What's the position?

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Planning Associate to join our Sportsbook team.

The role of a Sportsbook Planning Associate is to plan, build, and optimize the customer-facing content offering across all major sport leagues and events. This includes creating Pre-Built Parlays (PBPs) and Boosts, managing hourly display plans, and ensuring our product offering is extensive, accurate, and compliant with all regulatory requirements.

The role will require collaboration with various departments across the business, including Trading, Content Optimization, Marketing, and Sportsbook Operations.

The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities with multiple deadlines, making strong organizational skills essential.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Built Parlay & Boost Creation

• Build and publish Pre-Built Parlays (PBPs) and Boosts daily using the NATS content management system, following the approved content plan and shift checklist

• Select appropriate player props, game lines, and futures markets to construct compelling parlay and boost offerings across all active sports

• Apply naming conventions that align with Hard Rock brand voice, incorporating culturally relevant wordplay, music references, and sport-specific language

• Monitor injury news, lineup changes, and late scratches in real time and adjust or pull PBP and Boost offerings accordingly

• Ensure all PBP and Boost content meets pricing guidelines (e.g., price floors, caps) and complies with state-level regulatory requirements

Planning & Display Management

• Develop and maintain hourly content plans for digital displays, ensuring relevance and alignment with customer preferences and the live sporting calendar

• Maintain, distribute, and coordinate all planning documents to various departments across the business

• Ensure correct offerings are planned and surfaced to maximize customer engagement across all sportsbook surfaces (homepage, sport pages, event pages, league pages)

• Ensure all planned content is compliant and within regulatory requirements for each operating jurisdiction

Analysis & Collaboration

• Analyze PBP and Boost performance data to inform future content decisions

• React to real-time news, trending events, and betting market movements to adapt the content plan where appropriate

• Liaise with Trading to ensure the most appropriate content is available and priced correctly

• Liaise with CRM and Marketing to ensure content strategies are aligned with promotional campaigns and push notifications

• Support the Planning Team Lead with weekly content plans, sport-specific playbooks, and seasonal planning initiatives

What are we looking for?

A highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Excel. You can multi-task and work to numerous deadlines simultaneously, therefore strong organizational skills are essential.

You understand the sporting calendar and can easily identify the various leagues across the globe. Ideally you will have exposure to general sports betting knowledge and an understanding of parlay and same-game-parlay products.

Preferred qualifications:

• Familiarity with sportsbook content management tools and odds feed platforms

• Understanding of player prop markets, game lines, and futures across major US sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL) and global events

• Comfort working shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays aligned with the live sporting calendar

• Strong written communication skills for crafting customer-facing parlay and boost names
